Promises

Covered me with jewelry
Took me to exotic cafés
I was surrounded in luxury
With all those rich buffets.

You thought I was happy
Satisfied, with bliss- content

Glittering with money overspent.

But you didn't realize
My heart aching for more.
You didn't hear my cries
You were too busy showing off.

Please hurry, we'll be strangers soon
So sit with me, talk to me, please do;
Trust me, I don't need the moon
For all I ever want is you.
